Honorable Mention Winners, notched by 2 Al Wisam students to the 2017 Prince Mahidol Award Conference World Art Competition, in Bangkok, Thailand


Two Year-6 students from Al Wisam School had recently awarded as Honorable Mention for the age category 9 to 12 years old in Drawing and Painting Category. Students submitted artworks in Bangkok, Thailand for the annual Prince Mahidol Award Conference World Art Competition. It was participated by 500 artworks from 17 countries.

Sami Alheddi and Abdulrahman Salamah of Year 6C, notched the coveted award for this year. H.E. Mr. Chayapan Bamrungphong, ambassador of The Kingdom of Thailand to Bahrain attended the awarding ceremony last March 29 at the Royal Thai embassy in Bahrain. Together with other students who’ve participated were all invited to grace the momentous event.

Student participants were Jood Mohammed, Ghadeer Ebrahim, Ismail Hassan, Jaber Hussain, Mohammed Ali, Hadeel Sayed Faisaland Zainab Raed, all from Year 4C were given a separate awards with medal and certificate for their valuable contribution for this competition.

Awarding ceremony were attended by Dr. Lina Lewis, School Principal, Mr. Jesus Tejada (Mentor & Coach), Teachers and media people as well.
